Banderas Bay Wildlife Tour: Dolphins, Turtles, Manta Rays and Sea Birds
Wildlife watching in Banderas Bay is simply extraordinary. There are amazing and exotic sea life and birds to encounter. We have seen hundreds of spinner dolphins in the Punta de Mita area while out sport fishing, as well as many giant sea turtles, and schools of mantra rays leaping out of the ocean.
There are many different types of birds but the most popular are the pelicans and blue and brown footed boobie birds. If you go to Punta de Mita you will observe the diving pelicans as they feast on fish while you yourself enjoy, perhaps, a wonderful meal at any of the restaurants on the beachfront. Our favourite place is Tino's, their seafood is delicious and the view magical. The booby birds are endangered, and your only chance to encounter them in the wild is on the Marrietta Islands.
