Sooke Pot Holes Regional Park is located on the banks of the ever spectacular Sooke River. The Pot Holes are favorites to both the locals and visitors as a popular swimming destinations.  The unique pool-like rock formations are smoothed and polished in the sandstone.  The views are spectacular, and makes for a popular place for hiking within the lush forested trails. This park is 7 hectares long and is 5 kilometers north of Higway 14 on Sooke River Road.  If you're are coming from Victoria allow approximately 45 minutes driving time. There are many picnic tables near the river next to the parking area for your convenience. During the months of May thru September The Land Conservancy operates a campground for tents and RV's which is adjacent to Sooke Pot Holes. Watch out for wildlife such as black tailed deer, red squirrels and bald eagles soaring above.

This is also a great starting point for walking or biking on the Galloping Goose Trail. Head south toward Roche Cove Regional Park, or through wilderness scenery all the way to the end of the trail.
