During the winter months pods of Humpback whales inhabit the bay and use its nutrient rich waters to feed while birthing their calves. The Bay or Banderas is sheltered from storms and teeming with dolphins making it an ideal place to take in a local activity or water sport such as, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, whale watching, boating and more.
The Riviera Nayarit offers services and amenities similar to those of North America, such as shopping at Walmart, Sams Club, Costco, Home Depot and Office Depot. Most locals speak a great deal of English making it easy to communicate at the same time its great environment to learn another language. Getting around is easy as the Riviera Nayarit has great roads; excellent bus and taxi transport as well as easy driving conditions. Mexico also has a very stable government, a very foreign friendly VISA program and is the world 11th largest economy.
With ongoing social and cultural events happening all the time, it’s easy to see why tourist have taken the plunge and made the Riviera Nayarit their home.
