"La Cruz", as it's known to the locals, is a quaint little fishing town. The name of the town comes from a cross (‘cruz’ in Spanish) made of Huanacaxtle wood. The town is located approximately 25 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is home to the new 400 berth Marina Riviera. Just steps away there is a fish market selling "the catch of the day" to residents, tourists and restaurateurs.
