No less than 553 meters high, the CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in Canada. In the 1970's the Canadian Broadcasting Company decided to build a new transmission mast in partnership with Canadian National Railroad conglomerate.  It's known one of Canada's prime tourists attracts. The tower houses the largest revolving restaurant in the world, which rotates fully every 72 minutes. The ground is over 300 meters beneath a thick layer of reinforced glass, and even the courageous may feel a little daunted.

The outside elevators are glass-fronted and take visitors shooting up the outside of the tower to the upper levels. Speeds take you breath away and make you ears pop; the elevators can reach the top in under a minute. The interior lookout level offers visitors the chance to observe the city in the comfort, away from the wind, signs identify many Toronto Landmarks.
