The charming traditional fishing village of Sayulita is a small cove, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range. You can find it just 20 minutes North of La Cruz, via Highway 200.
The adjacent jungle is inhabited by exotic birds and other wildlife. The pacific waters are great for sport or the stunning view as they are rich in marine life and boast amazing waves. The destination is, in fact, known for its consistent surf break at the river mouth, and it attracts surfers from all over the world. It has also become a wedding destination.
If you enjoy surfing, kayaking, hiking, canopy tours, horseback riding, fishing, and shopping then Sayulita is the place for you. You may also wish to savour some fine cuisine. There is a lovely restaurant right on the beach, called Don Pedro's, offering European and local cuisine. Delicioso! Native people, traveling craftsmen, retirees, international tourists and real estate investors all appreciate what it has to offer.
